NY Girls K-6 Rankings – February 2020
his is our inaugural ranking!

We are thrilled to publish the first-ever state ranking for girls K-6 wrestlers in New York! These young girls are brave, work hard, and are the future stars in New York women’s wrestling. Many of them have already accomplished so much on the state and national scene in youth wrestling, but it’s only the beginning. Congrats to everyone who made the list!

A few thoughts about the rankings:

1. Everybody stay calm. This is intended to bless, not anger, the wrestling community. This ranking may not be perfect, but it is the FIRST. So let’s celebrate that!

2. There’s likely some girls we don’t know about. Tell us who they are! (Email below.)

3. There’s a lot of info missing. Need grades & clubs. If you see your kid in there & the info is missing, please email info@americanwomenswrestling.com. We have no idea what the grades are for some of the girls in the results. It’s possible that we have someone IN the rankings that’s not K-6 or someone OUT of the rankings that is K-6. Please help out with grades, clubs, head-to-heads we may have missed, etc.

4. There are some younger hammers who are either ranked low or not ranked at all. Please remember this is a K-6 ranking! Just because your kid won a 6U state title doesn’t mean they could beat a 12-year-old…yet. ;)

5. We used NYWAY States 2019, NY-USAW States, NUWAY Nationals, the 2020 Girls Can’t What Tournament, The Shogun, FLWC Duals, and a number of other tournament results that helped us position this first “draft” of our state K-6 rankings.
