Heaven Fitch First-Ever NC State Champ

GREENSBORO, NC - North Carolina’s Heaven Fitch made history last night as she became the first girl in state history to win an NCHSAA state title.

The crowd in the erupted in the Greensboro Coliseum as the clock expired and Fitch was the major decision winner over Robbinsville’s Luke Wilson. The Unwharrie Charter wrestler won the title in the 1A division at 106 pounds. She was also awarded the Most Outstanding Wrestler award in that division.

Fitch was ranked #8 in the country at 100 pounds in the FloWrestling/USAW National Rankings that came out last week and is currently ranked #5 in our poll.
